Ryobi's R18IW7 impact wrench, part of the ONE+ cordless system, has a brushless motor which doesn't drain batteries as quickly as traditional brushed designs and gets more work done on a single charge. It also benefits from four operating modes to select optimum conditions for the task at hand. Speeds 1 to 3 provide increasing levels of torque and RPM, while the Auto Stop mode is designed to prevent overtightening during fastening applications. The 1/2 square drive anvil has a detent pin retention system so impact sockets can be connected securely, and the ergonomic softgrip design ensures a comfortable grip on the tool. The R18IW7 can be used with screwdriver bits as well as sockets; a 1/4 hex adaptor is included with the machine, which also features an integrated bit clip on the base for storing an accessory close to hand.
